Eugene Soh (b. 1987, Singapore) is a visual artist based in Singapore. His images parody iconic works of art while providing a tongue-in-cheek commentary on contemporary life in Singapore. The many elements and characters in his works represent multiple narratives within a distinctly Singaporean context. He uses his technological expertise to manipulate various forms of digital art, constantly aspiring towards new ways to share his work. His distinct conversationalist style allows him to engage his audience with humour and grace. Eugene graduated from Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media in 2013. Later that year, he held his first solo exhibition at OCBC Art Space, Singapore. Also in 2013, he was a finalist with Honourable Mention at the 2nd France + Singapore Photographic Arts Award, as well as a finalist in the Sony World Photography Awards Student Focus, World Photography Organisation, London. Eugene’s works were recently exhibited at the ICON Martell Photography Prize 2014, National Museum of Singapore and Singapore Art Museum.
