Paribartana Mohanty

Paribartana Mohanty (b. 1982, India) is an artist based in New Delhi and working in video, performance, and painting. He completed a BFA from Dhauli College of Art and Craft, Bhubaneswar, and an MA in History of Art from the National Museum Institute, New Delhi. He was the recipient of the FICA Emerging Artist Award 2010 and City as Studio Sarai-CSDS Media Lab Associate Fellowship for Contemporary Art and Media Practices. Paribartana has participated in many group exhibitions and residencies. He had his first solo exhibition, Kino is the Name of a Forest, in 2012 at Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi. In February/March 2015, he was part of the Art and Science residency at Khoj International Artist Association, New Delhi. In 2014, he was selected for the international creator residency, Tokyo wonder site, Japan. He also works with the artist collective WALA to engage in public, community, and site-specific art projects and public performances.
