The visit to Casphalt was very different to our other two locations. Casphalt is an artspace, cafe, bookstore and a children’s playground. It is a shared space for the community to use hence, it felt more inviting to interact with strangers. However, there wasn’t a lot of people at the time. I had a short conversation with a group of dog mum’s who were sitting around a table enjoying their afternoon tea. I told them about the project but didn’t get much out of them. The employees were very intrigued by the backpacks and really spent time exploring the stories of each backpack.
