Student from several school, disaster survivor and public in Banda Aceh are welcomed and discussed about the “Tsunami Memory” in this event. The shared experience between Aceh and Japan on earthquake and Tsunami become starting point in shaping the discussion. Started by a presentation about the Japan case on “Tsunami Memory” by the curator Daisuke Takeya, the participants then shared their own memory, some are very personal. Besides, a space for releasing the remains sadness of the past disaster, this event is also a media to rethink about the local’s preparedness of future possible disaster.
